Date adapter
React chapter 43 · MUI X · LocalizationProvider · source: mui/mui-x/packages/x-date-pickers
The problem
The DatePicker imports dayjs (or Date, or luxon) directly. Switching libraries means rewriting format, addDays, and startOfMonth in every picker. Ant Design used to lock you to moment.
The pattern that fixes it
An adapter interface: format, add, toNative. LocalizationProvider injects it. Picker code talks to the adapter, not to dayjs. Swap AdapterDayjs for AdapterDateFns and the UI does not change.
